It's a very nice looking center console in the pictures. Can't wait to see it in person.

We'll be shooting some new episodes for Ship Shape TV using this boat during the day and then detailing her Thursday night.

Cool. It will be fun and there should be plenty to do.

My friend Jay will be joining us to help us install the new graphics which is a nice skill set to have.

Here's a extra bonus for everyone joining us this Thursday night, my buddy Jay will be here to help install the new graphics.

Jay is very good at this and this is your chance to see and learn how to do this type of work. Jay did the installation of his own graphics and everyone really enjoyed this project and the graphics came out PERFECT!

M101 Foam Cut Compound - 1999 Trans Am Extreme Makeover at Autogeek (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/pictures-autogeek-s-car-week/57274-m101-foam-cut-compound-1999-trans-am-extreme-makeover-autogeek.html)

Here's a single post from the above write-up...

For anyone that's never removed old, dried-out, cracked and baked-on vinyl graphics, I have enough pictures to make a pretty good how-to article. For now here's a few pictures to give you an idea. It took about 2 hours to remove all the vinyl graphics and then rub and scrub all the adhesive left behind off the paint AND do it in a way that did not harm the original paint.

Re-applying all of the new vinyl graphics took at around 3 hours...

We didn't just buff this car out, we first removed all the graphics, then buffing it out, polished it and sealed it with a synthetic paint sealant and then applied all of the new graphics... just another furn project on AutogeekOnline.net!

Here's one picture, hang tight for a few more...

Jay heating the vinyl graphics up using a simple Conair Hair Blow Dryer...

http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/data/1619/1999_Trans_Am_M101_Finished_047.jpg

Here's Ken and I using a Heat Gun, when using a Heat Gun instead of a hair dryer you really need to be careful that you don't get the paint itself too hot...

http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/data/1619/1999_Trans_Am_M101_Finished_048.jpg

New graphics going on... this was hours later after we meticulously buffed the hood to remove most of the Ghosting and all of the adhesive residue...

Here you can see that we removed the rear spoiler in order to apply the racing stripes to the deck lid...

After putting he racing stripes on the spoiler we're not re-attaching it...

One thing for sure, everyone has a lot of fun during these types of cool projects, makes new friends and gets the chance to use new tools, pads and yes... products like Meguiar's M101 Foam Cut Compound...

Jay sent me a list of things we'll need to install the graphics. First list we have, second list we need to get.

Hair Dryer - We have a Heat Gun here at work.

Spray Bottles - We have these.

2" Masking Tape - We have 3M Green Painter's Tape.

IPA - We have this.

Need to get

Squeegees - We don't have any hard plastic squeegees.

New Razor Blades - Need to get.

Dawn Dishwashing Soap - Need to get.

Grease Marking Pencil - Need to get.

I'm thinking a PBE store might have some hard plastic squeegees for applying/mixing and spreading Bondo?

you guys need to take a class on the road! It sucks being up here in Missouri and all your events are in FL.

Good looking boat btw, it looks to be in about the same condition as mine was gelcoat-wise.

Just talked to Steve, he's going to have the boat here about 3:00pm today.

I'll take some pictures using my new Canon T51 and perhaps a walk-around-video to show the current condition.

Just talked to John Greviskis of Ship Shape TV, he and his camera crew will be here at 8:00am sharp tomorrow morning.

We're good to go!

Here's a few pictures from today's filming for Ship Shape TV. I'll start an actual "Pictures & Comments" thread for the full write-up plus all the before and after pictures. (This is just the sign-up thread)

Most people would look at this boat and think the black gel-coat is in pretty good shape?
