wish i lived nearby. looks like that baja is in need of a serious marine 31 turnaround. i'll bet the results will be like night and day.

Stuart Florida is the hidden secret on the Florida coast. I realize there are people that read this forum from around the U.S. and even from around the world that would like to attend but due to the distance it's just not feasible. That said, there's lots of guys and even gals once in a while within an hour's driving distance that do attend these project.

My job is to merely get the invitation up on the forum and then lead the project from beginning to end.

And I agree, this will a dramatic transformation. The boat will arrive either Monday or Tuesday so I'll have some high resolution "before" pictures up the first part of next week. The pictures you see posted were from a phone camera, they're not bad but I think my Canon will do a little better job of really capturing the complete picture and accurate condition after the boat arrives.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for registering and replying to the thread... I've added your name to the list and we'll see you here around 5:00pm this Thursday.

No need to bring anything... I'll have cold bottled water and the owner will hopefully provide the pizza!

The word "Baja" on the side is a graphic but the stripes and design in the middle to back have are gel-coat.

The owner is going to put new numbers/letters and tags on the boat and I'll see if he's game for getting a new Baja graphic for it too as it will really be the cherry on top of the whip cream after we get done bringing this gel-coat back to life.

Hey Mike, are you going to be doing any youtube video's on this boat or any other like you do your thursday nights makeover's?

Would love to be able to watch and especially some of the tricks to get around some of the things in the way while the boat is on a trailer.

I can check with Yancy our video guy as well as management when it comes time for the next boat detailing class. Kind of their call.

Need to schedule another boat for July or August. John Greviskis has a wet sanding project where we'll be sanding a new gel-coat sprayed on a 1960 Glastron.
