There's lots of thin...

Re: Low maintenance Routine for 20 year old hul

Without seeing a picture hard to say how to fix it but for most boats with oxidation, the first step after a thorough washing would be to buff out the gelcoat with either a compound or a strong...

Re: Sanding disc question

About the only way to tell when a sanding disc is used-up or "spent" is to watch as you sand for slurry to appear. Slurry is the water and abraded gel-coat which makes a milky looking film on the...

Re: Pontoons to a Mirror Finish

You can, but you'll need some type of cleaner/soap to help cut through the oily film on the surface as water pressure alone may not cut it.

I don't - I just use a lot of low-end utility...

YES!

I DEFINITELY SEE A DIFFERENCE WHEN USING A 21MM LONG THROW POLISHER TO DO THE FINISHING STEP.

I use the RUPES BigFoot 21 with their blue aggressive foam cutting pad and their Diamond...

Re: Removing Captain's Boat Coating

For the most part "yes".

If the boat is gel-coat, because gel-coat is more porous than marine specialty paints it will be easier to remove a coating of gel-coat than off paint.

Just wash...

Re: Help selecting a buffer

Depends on how you use the boat.

IF the boat is never used and stored inside a boat barn then you won't have to apply it very often.

If the boat is on the water 7 days a week and 24 hours...

Re: Hello from Michigan and Which Wool Pads
