Re: 16' Key Largo Center Console Boat Detailing Class

My apologies for not making it out. I was leaving my neighborhood to head that way and an older lady ran a stop sign and took my front bumper off. On another note I'm having the body shop shoot the...

I had a question about the stainless on my boat and a couple of the Marine 31 products.
The stainless on my boat isn't in bad shape and I planned on cleaning it up with the brightening soap. I know...

Re: Marine 31 Gel Coat Heavy Oxidation Cleaner and Flex 3401

Thank you for posting your results. I was really wondering what kind of finish the heavy cut left behind. I'm happy to see it doesn't leave behind a marred finish.

I'm going to be doing a multi...

Re: Boats Wanted - Boat Detailing Classes

This really makes me wish my boat was closer, and more trailerable. It would definitely show a huge difference from before and after.

I finally get to start on restoring the finish at the end of...

Re: Cockpit Carpet Repair

This is the fourth time I've repaired the backing on marine carpets. I was the last one of my friends to give in and do it. We've used a mix of different products to do the repairs.
The oldest...

Re: Cockpit Carpet Repair

I used a product called Fiber-Lok

I brushed on a light coat first and let it dry for about 30 minutes before I brushed on a heavier coat.

It cost me about $70 to do the 3 carpets from my boat...

Cockpit Carpet Repair

With my Sea Ray still under repair and no way for me to start compounding the hull, I decided to clean and repair other things that need to be done.

The cockpit carpet that comes in Sea Ray boats...

Re: Upcoming Sea Ray 340 Correction

So I've been pretty behind with the boat and haven't been able to start yet.
I planned on doing some routine maintenance before starting and as it is with boats, the routine maintenance turned into...

Re: What order to do detailing steps

That makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up. I was trying to make a list of the order I should do things in to be most effective with my time.

Re: More steps usually equals better results...

I'm looking forward to those episodes. It's hard to keep up with hull maintenance when the boat is in the water.

Re: More steps usually equals better results...

I've been tossing around how many steps I'm going to do on my own boat next week. It's a large boat at 36ft total length, so every extra step is hours and hours of additional time. After seeing this...

Re: Upcoming Sea Ray 340 Correction

I'll be watching out for those vinyl pictures. The vinyl interior on this one could use some work and I'm interested in how to keep it protected after a through cleaning.

Re: How to remove corrosion and protect stainless steel in one easy step!
