The Marine31Online Roll Call Thread
The Marine31Online Roll Call Thread
I've used this type of thread very successfully over the years because I find, A: I much prefer to talk to someone, (even on a forum when we're typing), by referring to them by their first name instead of their forum nickname. Talking/Typing to someone by their forum nickname is awkward. For what it's worth, I've used my real name when posting to forums ever since 1994 and knock on cyber-wood, I've never been the victim of any type of identity theft. I have had riff-raff join other forums under my real name pretending to be me and make fools of themselves but that's never a problem because time and a person's posting history always proves and shows a person's true character. That all said, I do understand the desire and need for personal privacy. Even so, I would like to ask all members of this forum to reply to this thread and share either their first name or a first real nickname to go with their forum nickname to make this community a lot more friendly and yes, even more professional. Please use this format as it makes it so much faster and easier to update the thread because I can quickly copy and paste your forum nickname and first name to the list. Not that it's a huge time saver but I tend to be a busy guy... Here's the format, please use exact spelling of your nickname, that includes upper and lower case letters and note there is a space then a dash then a space between the forum nickname and your first name.
