Default New Boat Product Recommendations

Hello,

I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I recently purchased my first boat in which I am actually the first owner. My prior maintenance experience has all been restorative in nature on used boats. Since the new boat is actually new, I have no oxidation to contend with. I am hoping you can offer product recommendations to get me off on the right foot. I have never used Marine31 products, but read many reviews and believe the products are top quality. When waxing or polishing I use a DA polisher and want to continue to do so.

Thank you

Hi Sailfish and welcome to Marine31Online!

I have a saying that is a version of a quote I borrowed from Barry Meguiar's that goes like this,

"Frequent boat care is easy boat care"

This doesn't mean you need to wax your new boat every weekend, what it means is if you regularly maintain a new boat or a boat in new condition the actual maintenance steps you do are quick and easy.

It's only when you neglect a boat and let time and Mother Nature take their toll that you have to go through all the restoration steps that can be a lot of work.

Here's what I would recommend since you already have a DA Polisher,

Get a bottle of the Marine 31 Gel-coat Carnauba Wax + Sealant and use your DA Polisher to machine apply this wax.

Allow the wax to dry for about 10 to 15 minutes and then remove the excess residue using a clean, microfiber towel.

Simple and effective. If you do this on a regular basis your new boat will always look new.

On Marine31.com

Marine 31 Gel Coat Carnauba Wax + Sealant - 16 ounces

Marine 31 Gel Coat Carnauba Wax + Sealant - 32 ounces

Marine 31 Gel Coat Carnauba Wax + Sealant - 64 ounces

It glides on easy, wipes off easy and leaves a slick, high gloss finish.
